My Reseach for Our Game

Mrs.Barker told us to blog about the research that we found about our game. So here is all the things that I found, so far, about our game. So here it is,
Three Branches of Government
In 1787, leaders of the states gathered to write the Constitution-a set of principles that told how the new nation would be governed. The leaders of the states wanted a strong and fair national government. But they also wanted to protect individual freedoms and prevent the government from abusing its power. They believed they could do this by having three separate branches of government: the executive, the legislative and the judicial. This separation is described in the first three articles, or sections, of the Constitution.
Legislative Branch
The legislative branch is made up of the two houses of Congress—the Senate and the House of Representatives. The most important duty of the legislative branch is to make laws. Laws are written, discussed and voted on in Congress.
There are 100 senators in the Senate, two from each state. Senators are elected by their states and serve six-year terms. The Vice President of the U.S. is considered the head of the Senate, but does not vote in the Senate unless there is
a tie. The Senate approves nominations made by the President to the Cabinet, the Supreme Court, federal courts and other posts. The Senate must ratify all treaties by a two-thirds vote.
There are 435 representatives in the House of Representatives. The number of representatives each state gets is based on its population. For example, California has many more representatives than Rhode Island. When Census figures determine that the population of a state has changed significantly, the number of representatives in that state may shift proportionately. Representatives are elected by their states and serve two-year terms. The Speaker of the House, elected by the
representatives, is considered the head of the House. Both parties in the Senate and the House of Representatives elect leaders. The leader of the party that controls the house is called the majority leader. The other party leader is called the minority leader.
Executive Branch
The President is the head of the executive branch, which makes laws official. The President is elected by the entire country and serves a four-year term. The President approves and carries out laws passed by the legislative branch. He appoints or removes cabinet members and officials. He negotiates treaties, and acts as head of state and commander in chief of the armed forces.
So yeah I know that, that looks like a lot but if you really set down and think about it. If you really think about it, would you wreather have to read all of this or have the job of have to go though all of that to do the job. So, you say that you want to know how we are going to apply all of these words and things like that to our game? Well heres how we are going to put our heads together and find a way to put all of these facts together. I think that we will probably do something like this.....like have some fun facts and then have them look at a few things for a case then they will be in tje judges place to look at the proof and see which side they they think sould win the case. Or if Heather has a better idea we will compare the two and see which one wins and we will usa that method on the game.

American History

What is your favorite part of American History? Mine is the Attack of Pearl Harbor. On a quiet Sunday morning, 68 years ago, a nation at peace was shaken out of its isolation and drawn into a war that changed the world forever. This was the Attack of Peal Harbor! The attack on Pearl Harbor (or Hawaii Operation, Operation Z, as it was called by the Japanese Imperial General Headquarters) was an unannounced military strike conducted by the Japanese navy against the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on the morning of December 7, 1941. It resulted in the United States entry into World War II. There is a girl that I know whose birthday is on the day of the Attack on Pearl Harbor! I think that the attack of Pearl Harbor was an awful event that will scar everyone who knows about that day. It was a big impact om America and a big piece of history that, I don't think that America would be the same if that day never crossed the path of America. If you go to google earth (there is an website for it) you can see the remanes of the Pearl Harbor underneath the water in Hawaii. They just decided to leave the remanes of Pearl Harbor under the water do to all of the lives that were lost during that attack. So if you go to the website you can see the remanes of the Pearl Harbor, the water is so clear in Hawaii you can seethe remanes.

What all I have done in and throughout this unit

We are going to blog on three units. The units are Adding Sounds, Adding Navigation, and Adding Animations. So I really have worked on these three units! It could be very confusing, but it all worked out! Here is a link to a wedsite that you and I could get some info on Flash and learn how to work the whole program. So here it is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Flash. I think that if you try to do something in Flash, you can do anything that you set your mind to. I did not think that I could do all of the things that I am doing now, but you know what I am. Do you want to know why I cna do all of these things? I set my mind to it, and I watched the little videos and I followed the man int he videos and you know what happened I found out how to do the things and I know hjow to do all these things now and I probably never will forget them. Now I know how to make a Motion Teen, a Movie Clip, and a lot more things to do with the Flash program. We have done a lot in this unit for our game. So far we have put sound on some parts of our game. Heather showed me what all she has got done and I think that she has really got the hang of all of the Flash details. We have got all the way to the first level.
